Who we are
This website is run by Blumac Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13703434. Our registered office is 30 Church Walk, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, DY13 0AP.
We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZB302598.

The information we collect
When you contact us or ask for a demo. Your name, email address and, if you give them, your phone number, company name, number of employees, role, the products you are interested in, when you are looking to start, and anything you write to us. We also record which page you sent it from, together with your IP address and browser details, which helps us deal with spam and misuse.
When you sign up for our newsletter. Your email address, and the date you signed up.
When you speak to us on a video call. We sometimes use a transcription service so that we have an accurate note of what was discussed. You will be told when a call is being transcribed, and you can ask us not to.
When you use this website. Technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit. Some of this is collected through cookies, which are explained below, and our hosting keeps short-term technical logs for security and troubleshooting.
If you become a customer. The contact and billing details we need to provide our services to you and to invoice for them.
How we use it, and why we are allowed to
Data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each thing we do with personal information. Ours are:
- Replying to enquiries and arranging demos: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and taking the steps you have asked for before any agreement.
- Sending our newsletter: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by contacting us.
- Understanding how this website is used: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
- Protecting our forms from spam: our legitimate interest in keeping automated abuse off the site.
- Providing services to customers: performing our contract with you, and keeping accounting records because the law requires us to.
We do not sell personal information, we do not buy email lists, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of suppliers who handle information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- our cloud hosting provider, which runs this website in the UK and stores the enquiries sent through it
- our business email and collaboration provider, where enquiries arrive and where video calls take place
- a third party assistant service that helps us sort and prioritise incoming email
- a call transcription service, when a call is transcribed
- an email delivery service, which sends our newsletters
- Google, which protects our forms from spam (reCAPTCHA) and, only if you agree to analytics cookies, measures how the site is used (Google Analytics)
- our accounting software provider, for customer invoices
We may also share information with professional advisers such as our accountants, or where the law requires us to.
Some of these suppliers are based outside the UK, or may process information outside it, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards UK law provides for international transfers, such as UK adequacy regulations or the Information Commissioner's approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries, demo requests and call notes that do not lead to working together: two years from our last contact with you.
- Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your email address on a list of people not to contact, so that you are not added again by mistake.
- Customer records: for as long as we work together, and then six years for accounting and legal purposes.
- Cookie choices: your choice is remembered for six months, and the record that you made it is kept for two years.
Keeping it secure
We are Cyber Essentials certified. This website is hosted in the UK, information sent through it is encrypted in transit, and access to personal information is limited to the people at Blumac Digital who need it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can object to marketing at any time, and we will stop. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To use any of these rights, email privacy@blumac.digital or call us. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
