Privacy policy
How our QuickBooks Online application handles information. Effective 1 September 2026.
About this application
This policy covers the QuickBooks Online application operated by Blumac Digital Ltd. The application connects to a QuickBooks Online company with the authorisation of that company's account holder, and reads accounting information from it.
Who we are

What the application accesses
The application reads accounting information from the connected QuickBooks Online company, comprising financial reports and the underlying accounting records behind them. Those records may contain personal data relating to customers and suppliers, such as a contact name or an address held against an account.
The application is read only. It cannot create, amend or delete anything in QuickBooks Online. Any change to an accounting record is made by a person, directly in QuickBooks.
What we store
We store the credentials that authorise the connection, held securely and in encrypted form. We do not retain a copy of the accounting information itself. Information is retrieved when a request is made, used to answer that request, and not written to any store by the application.
Processing by others
The application is used through a third party assistant service, and information retrieved from QuickBooks passes through that provider's systems in order to reach the authorised user. That provider handles the information under its own terms and privacy policy. Our hosting provider processes information on our behalf in the ordinary course of hosting the application.
Beyond those providers and Intuit, who provide QuickBooks Online, we do not share this information with anyone. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Access
Use of the application is restricted to authorised users, and access can be withdrawn individually at any time.
Retention
Connection credentials are kept for as long as the connection is in use and are destroyed when it is ended. Because the application retains no accounting information, there is nothing further to hold once a request has been answered.
Ending the connection
The connection can be revoked at any time from the connected applications screen within QuickBooks Online. Revoking it stops all further access immediately.
Your rights
Where personal data held in the accounting records relates to you, you have rights under UK data protection law, including the right to ask what is held, to have it corrected, and in some circumstances to have it erased. Those rights apply to the accounting records themselves rather than to this application, which retains none of them. Contact us to exercise them.
Changes to this policy
If the way the application handles information changes, this page changes with it, and the effective date above is updated.
